Advantages of Building
with Metal SIPs
Stainless
Steel and G90 Galvanized are the most common requested metal
surfaces. These products when used in a SIP provide structural
integrity and strength. Over the total
life of a project, stainless is often the best value option.
Panels
are manufactured by injecting a two part urethane foam into a frame
press. The injected foam chemically reacts, creating heat and
pressure, filling the core of the panel. The expanding foam bonds
directly to the skins, cures and forms a solid, durable, efficient,
high strength building component.
Thermal
Efficiency: Like our standard SIPs, metal skinned SIPs combine a high insulation
R-value with speed and ease of construction. The solid foam core
eliminates air movement within the walls and minimizes thermal bridges
through wood studs. Together, all these reduce air infiltration, and
with proper installation, make a tightly sealed/ easily controlled
building.
Durable and
Recyclable: The need for quality and environmentally friendly building
materials grows stronger. The durability and recycle ability of metal
panels for SIPs is a good choice for many clients.
Fast
and Easy Installation: The unique interlocking design make for quick and easy installation
of each panel into the next. With one step of placing and fastening the
panels the exterior and interior of the building is completely finished.
